The mayor of Baler in Aurora has ordered the suspension of classes on Monday as tropical depression Ambo is expected to make a landfall on the province.
Students in several areas in Baler will no longer have to report to school on Tuesday, as classes have already been canceled on Monday due to the expected landfall of tropical depression Ambo.
In Baler, Mayor Nelianto Bihasa has already canceled classes from preschool to high school in all public and private schools.
Naga City Mayor John Bongat has also canceled preschool and kindergarten classes in his city.
Also, Monday preschool and elementary classes in Infanta, Quezon has been suspended, according to the the Infanta Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
Under the r.egulations of the Department of Education (DepEd), classes in preschool are automatically canceled in areas under Signal Number 1, high school under Signal Number 2, and College under Signal Number 3.
Here is a list of schools and areas where classes have been suspended for Monday, June 27, due to Tropical Depression Ambo. The tropical depression has since weakened into a low pressure area.
