Inihihirit ngayon ni Ako Bicol Partylist at Appropriations Committee Chairman Elizaldy Co ang dagdag na pondo para sa Department of Information and Communications Technology’s (DICT) para sa fiscal year 2024.
Ito’y kasunod sa nangyayaring pag-hacked sa ibat ibang government agencies.
Sinabi ni Rep. Co makikipag ugnayan ang House of Representatives sa Senado para maghanap ng dagdag na sources of funds para taasan ang pondo ng DICT.
“We will work with our colleagues in the Senate to look for more sources of funds for the Department of Information and Communication Technology,” House Committee on Appropriations chairperson and Ako Bicol Partylist Rep. Elizaldy Co.
Ang panukalang pondo ng DICT ay nasa P8.729 billion para sa 2024.
