The Schools Division of Cotabato strongly condemns the shooting of a Grade 11 learner from Pikit National High School, which tragically resulted in his death. The incident occurred on October 15, 2023, along the boundary of Barangay Ladtingan and Barangay Calawag, Pikit, North Cotabato.
SDO Cotabato places the highest value on every life. We are dedicated to ensuring the welfare and protection of our learners, recognizing that their education is vital for our future and the hope of our nation. Their loss is a profound tragedy, and any senseless acts of violence must not be tolerated.
We offer our deepest prayers to Almighty God, seeking His divine intervention to halt all forms of violence that threaten innocent lives. The word of God in the Holy Book assures us that evil will not triumph, and we pray for enlightenment to follow the path of righteousness.
Lastly, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the families, relatives, teachers, friends, and the entire student community for the loss of these young souls who had promising futures ahead of them.
